
ECORSE (WWJ) -- One suspect is behind bars awaiting charges in connection with a Michigan State Police task force drug bust in Wayne County.
Detectives with the MSP Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) executed a search warrant in the city of Ecorse as part of a narcotics investigation, police said.

While serving the warrant, officers discovered and seized more than 800 scheduled controlled analogue drugs, 700 of which were opioid pills, along with 400 grams of methamphetamine.
Police also seized $6,540 in cash, and one gun.
The suspect, who was out on on parole at this time of his arrest, was lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a prosecutor review of the investigation and an arraignment on expected charges.
His name is being withheld at this time.
MNET is a narcotics task force consisting of state, local and federal police agencies.
