CHESTERFIELD TWP. (WWJ) – A Chesterfield Township man is looking at numerous felony drug charges after undercover police officers made a massive drug bust at his home last week.
Nino Morrison, 24, was arrested on Wan. 4 at his home in the area of 22 Mile and Fairchild in Chesterfield, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities had received information that Morrison was distributing illegal pills throughout the township and other parts of Macomb County.
Undercover deputies were able to make several purchases of illegal narcotics from Morrison over the course of several weeks, with all purchases leading to his home, the sheriff's office said.
Officials say the undercover deputies made a third purchase from Morrison in front of the home and he was taken into custody while police raided the home.
During the raid, investigators seized nearly 500 illegal pills with an estimated street value of $8,000. Authorities also seized $1,000 in cash, a rifle, a small caliber handgun, ammunition, scales and packaging material for narcotics and a Pontiac vehicle.
Two adults and a child were inside the home at the time of the seizure.
In total, Morrison has been charged with four counts of the delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance (cocaine, heroin or another narcotic) less than 50 grams and one count of felony firearm.
Morrison was arraigned on Jan. 5 and received a $3000 (10%) bond on each of the three warrants. He is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 19.
