
DETROIT (WWJ) – Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, police departments in Michigan and across the country have struggled to attract new officers, but the efforts to do so are not lacking.
The Detroit Police Department is using a $10,000 raise to re-attract officers who left for better wages elsewhere, while others are getting creative when it comes to recruitment, including certain mental health benefits.
