
YPSILANTI (WWJ) -- When a passerby noticed a man on the ground at a bus stop in Ypsilanti and called 911, police arrived to find the man deceased, and opened an investigation into his death.
According to reports from local police scanners, the body was discovered Monday morning at a bus stop on Washtenaw Ave in Ypsilanti, just east of Golfside Rd.
A spokesman for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, Derrick Jackson, confirmed that the body was recovered and that deputies are out at the scene investigating.
At this time, it is unclear how the man died or what events led up to his arrival at the bus stop. The identity of the deceased is also unknown.
WWJ is also waiting to learn whether authorities believe the man died of natural causes, exposure or foul play.
