Troy police are investigating a shooting outside the Hilton Garden Inn on Wilshire, near I-75 and Big Beaver, at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Troy Police Sgt. Megan Lehman said people in the area heard gunshots, and around 30 bullet casings from multiple guns were found were on the ground in the parking lot.
Lehman said police believe there was a shootout.
"We got there, officers saw a Dodge Durango leaving the scene," Lehman told WWJ's Charlie Langton. "They tried to stop it and it fled from us, eventually went southbound on I-75."
Police said the investigation is so early they're not yet sure if anyone was hit, and if so, who the person is and what the motive may have been.
Lehman said there had been no arrests as of Wednesday morning, but police were following up on some leads.
