WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - The Wyandotte Police Department has issued a warning to businesses after a sneaky car crooks attempted to steal several work vehicles in the city.
Authorities said in a March 18 Facebook post, that box truck was stolen from a business off Eureka Road earlier in the month.
Since then, thieves have tried to steal another work van between Monday night and Tuesday morning on March 14-15 from a business on Ford Ave.

"In both cases the ignition was “punched” out," authorities said on Facebook.
While the car thief was successful in stealing the box truck, they were unsuccessful trying to take the van; the box truck was later found in Detroit.
Authorities have asked the commnity to keep their eye out and report any suspicious activity to the department or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (773-2587).
