DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for tips from the public as they search for a gunman who allegedly threatened three females at gas station on the city's west side.
The incident happened on Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the 10000 block of Fenkell, near Wyoming and the Lodge Freeway.
According to investigators, the suspect — described as a man 26 to 32 years old, with shoulder-length dreadlocks — approached the victims, ages 39, 19 and 15, and spoke to one of them.
After what police called "an exchange of words," investigators said the man became upset and walked away.

Police said the man went to his car, grabbed a gun, walked back up to the gas station and pointed the weapon and the victims.
He then fled the scene in a older model Chevy Impala (pictured).
No shots were fired, and no one was hurt.
The suspect, who was caught on camera at the gas station, was wearing a black ‘BMW’ bubble coat, black pants and white shoes.
As the investigation continues, anyone who recognizes the man or the suspect vehicle, or has any information that could help police with this case is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Second Precinct at 313-596-5240, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
