TROY (WWJ) -- Troy police are looking for the person, or people, who shot up a hotel earlier this week.
Police said a 9-1-1 call came it at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday about gunfire at the Red Roof in on Rochester Court, in the area of Rochester Rd. and Stephenson Hwy.
When officers arrived, they found bullet rounds had struck the door as well as the outside walls of a hotel room.
Fortunately, police said the targeted room was unoccupied at this time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported.
Witnesses said the suspected shooter fled the area in a black SUV, and was gone before police arrived.
Investigators found shell casings from two different guns, and one handgun was recovered on the scene, police said.
No suspects have been identified as the investigation continues.
