
(WWJ) Do you recognize this boat? Michigan State Police are asking for tips from the public as they investigate a hit-and-run at a boat launch over the weekend.
At around noon on Sunday, Sept. 10, troopers were called to the DNR t the DNR west Houghton Lake boat launch, in Roscommon County's Lake Township, on a report of a hit-and-run.
At the scene, a witness told troopers he was sitting on his boat at the boat launch when he saw an SUV that was towing a boat hit a parked trailer.
The driver got out of the vehicle, looked at the damage, and then let his dog out.
The witness said he thought the driver was calling police, but the man then quickly loaded up his dog and sped away.


No one was injured.
The witness took some photos of the suspect vehicle and the boat it was towing, and shared them with police.
The suspect vehicle is described as a sliver Chevy Suburban or Chevy Tahoe, towing a red and white Starcraft boat on a dark colored trailer.
