VAN BUREN TWP. (WWJ) -- Police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a 26-year-old woman in western Wayne County on Wednesday morning.
Around 12:45 a.m. police arrived at the I-94 service drive west of Beck Road and found an unresponsive female on the roadway.
Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was walking on the service drive when she was hit by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
