Police want to speak with people in silver Mercedes Benz about deadly shooting on Detroit's west side
DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips as they try to track down some people who may know something about a murder on city's west side.
At 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, officers responded to the area of Coyle and Puritan, east of Greenfield Rd., where a 26-year-old man was found dead inside a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The man had been shot, and was taken to local hospital where he died of his injuries, police said.

There are no known suspects or motive at this time, but police said they want to speak with the occupant or occupants of what appears to be a silver and gray Mercedes Benz with a sunroof that was seen in the area.
Police released a surveillance photo of the car on Thursday, asking anyone in the public with information to give them a call.
Anyone recognizes this vehicle, or who may know anything about this crime, is urged to call the DPD Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260, or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587).
