PONTIAC (WWJ) A shooting in Pontiac left one man dead and another in custody.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened Saturday, November 15 around 6 a.m. on Osmun Street near the Woodward Loop.
According to authorities; deputies were dispatched to Wall Street on reports of shots fired. The caller reported a bullet hole through the back door of a home, but no injuries.
During deputies' response to the shooting on Wall Street; additional 911 callers told dispatchers about similar incidents, including one on Osmun Street.
That's where deputies found a 36-year-old Pontiac man with gunshot wounds and started life-saving measures, sheriff's officials said.
The man was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead. His name was not released because deputies are working to notify his family.
Authorities said deputies arrested the suspect, a 41-year-old Waterford Township man, in Farmington Hills in the afternoon.
No information was released on the motive for the shooting, or the relationship between the victim and the suspect, if any.
Sheriff's officials said the case will be turned over to the prosecutor for review on Monday.
