WARREN (WWJ) -- A power outage in Macomb County resulted in several school closings this morning.
Nearly 3,100 DTE customers were in the dark in Warren, with outages spanning from Mound Road east to Hayes Road, and 14 Mile Road south to Common Road.

Most of the power has been restored in the affected area, but still prompted the closures of three Warren schools.
Warren Cousino High School is closed, and the homecoming parade and pep rally scheduled for today are also canceled.
However, a post on the Warren Consolidated Schools Facebook page says that homecoming floats will still be part of the football game this evening.
Additionally, classes at Carter Middle School and Wilkerson Elementary School were also canceled prior to DTE restoring power. The district notes that students from the middle school will not be transported to other district programs today.
