PONTIAC (WWJ) -- A Rochester Hills woman has died of injuries she suffered in a crash Thursday evening in Pontiac.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said 78-year-old Frankie Lee was making a left turn from East Walton Boulevard, at Laurel Avenue, when her Jeep Cherokee was hit by a Dodge Charger that was headed eastbound.

Lee was taken to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Charger driver, identified as a 19-year-old Pontiac man, was hospitalized and is in stable condition, officials said.

The OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit is still investigating, but officials believe speed may have contributed to the crash. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor, and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
