(WWJ) — More charges have been filed in connection with the murder of Dee Warner, the Lenawee County woman whose remains were found last summer, more than three years after she was reported missing.

Michigan State Police officials on Monday announced Jaron Warner, the 28-year-old son of her husband, Dale Warner, has been arraigned on charges of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact to a felony.

Dee Warner, then 52, was last seen at the home she shared with her husband in late April of 2021 on Munger Road in Franklin Township, about 10 miles north of Adrian. Family members reported her missing on April 25. Dee Warner had five adult children from a previous marriage.

Her husband was arrested in November of 2023 and last June he was ordered to stand trial on charges of homicide and tampering with evidence, despite the fact that her body hadn’t yet been found.

Authorities searched Dale Warner’s property and surrounding farmland in the area multiple times, but her body wasn’t found until last summer. MSP officials at the time said her death had been ruled a homicide, but the manner of death was not released.

While Dale Warner reportedly told authorities his wife had left to start a new life, police said in the months after her disappearance that her cell phone had gone dead and her credit cards had not been used.

On Monday MSP officials announced the charges against Jaron Warner, but no other details surrounding his alleged involvement were released.

His bond was set at $125,000 and his probable cause conference is scheduled for Monday, March 10.

While Dale Warner’s trial is scheduled to begin in September, MSP officials say they’re continuing to investigate the case. They’re asking anyone who knows something about the case to call the MSP Monroe Post at 734-242-3500.
