BLENDON TWP. (WWJ) A 4-year-old child in West Michigan has died after being shot with a pellet gun.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal shooting happened Friday evening at a home in Blendon Township, about 18 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.
Investigators said the shooting was accidental.
First responders administered treatment at the home, and then took the little one to the hospital…where he or she died.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing many details, including the child’s gender and what lead up to the shooting.
