DETROIT (WWJ) — Michigan State Police are investigating after an undercover detective was shot at on Detroit's east side Friday morning.
MSP officials say it happened shortly before 8 a.m. on July 26 in the area of Harper and Van Dyke.
The undercover state police detective was driving on Curt Street while working a case when someone opened fire. The shots did not hit the detective or the vehicle and there were no injuries to the public, according to MSP.
Officials did not say whether the shots were directly connected to the detective's investigation. No suspect information was released.
MSP detectives are continuing to investigate and conduct interviews. No further information is being released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
