(WWJ) -- One to 3 inches of snowfall was expected across metro Detroit, but many cities received more than that.

After Monday's winter storm, cleanup is underway throughout metro Detroit and the National Weather Service has reported final snow totals.

According to the NWS, reported final snow totals for Sterling Heights cam in with 4.2 inches of snowfall. Berkley and Clarkston came close at around 3.5 inches.

However, the most snow that fell in metro Detroit was in Lake Orion, Lapeer, Shelby and White Lake, with 4 to 6 inches reported.

On the west side of the state, Muskegon was the hardest hit, with 11 inches of snow falling in that community.

But with snowfall comes ice and slick road conditions, so watch out for those icy spots Tuesday and prepare for them to stick around as the temps will remain very cold for the day.

As for the rest of Tuesday, expect to see more snow.

"We're gonna see some snow showers move into metro Detroit this afternoon and this evening from the west," said AccuWeather meterologist Dean DeVore, "Watch for slippery driving."

DeVore said the temps will reach to around 20 and plunge down within a few degrees of zero tonight.

The treacherous road conditions left over from the aftermath of the snowfall have led to many crashes in metro Detroit.
