Power outage causes Warren city officials to move some primary election polling places

WARREN (WWJ) — As Michiganders take to the polls on Tuesday for primary elections, officials in the city of Warren have announced a change in polling places for some residents, due to a power outage.

Due to a power outage at Butcher Community Education in Warren, officials announced voting for Precincts 31, 32, 33 and 36 have been moved to Mott High School and 3131 Twelve Mile Road.


The change in location is for the primary elections on Tuesday, Aug. 6 only.

The Mott High School gym will be the polling place for voters in Precincts 31, 32, 33 and 36.

Voters in Precincts 34, 35, 40 and 41 will cast their ballots in the Mott High School band room.

Warren voters on Tuesday will be deciding on a number of candidates and measures, including the race for U.S. Democratic Senator between Elissa Slotkin and Hill Harper. Former Warren Mayor Jim Fouts will also appear on the ballot, running for State Representative in the 14th District.
