SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) An attempted murder-suicide in Southfield leaves a woman hospitalized and her son dead, police said.
Southfield Police said the stabbing happened on Saturday, August 29 around 1:19 p.m.-- at a home on Greenbrooke in the area of 10 Mile and Telegraph.
Officers found a 65-year-old woman, bleeding from her neck. She told police her son had stabbed her.
According to police, they also discovered her 25-year-old son's body at the scene.
Their preliminary examination suggests he stabbed her during an argument, then took his own life via a gunshot.
Police said there is no threat to the public at this time.
