SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- A man in a wheelchair was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Southfield over the weekend, and police are searching for the suspect.
28-year-old Tarrie Daniel was found dead by police just before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, near George Washington and Martha Washington drives, not far from the intersection of 10 Mile and Southfield Road.
It is believed that the fatal crash happened sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
According to officials, the suspect was driving a Jaguar, possibly silver in color, and the car should have significant damage to the front area.
As Southfield Police continue the investigation, they are asking anyone with information to contact detective Scott Dickey at 248-796-5408.
