RAY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- Police in Macomb County are searching for the driver of a pick-up truck who fled the scene of a deadly motorcycle crash.
Authorities say 76-year-old David Chapman, of Southgate, was riding his motorcycle along 26 Mile Road in Ray Township on Thursday afternoon when he left the roadway, then slammed into a small trailer.
The other driver reportedly exited his truck to look at his trailer, and then fled the scene.
The truck is described as a white pick-up truck, possibly a Chevy, pulling a small black trailer. The driver is described as a slender white man.
Chapman later died at the hospital from his injuries.
