Apparent stabbing at downtown Detroit bar/grill leaves man hospitalized: police

DETROIT (WWJ) An apparent stabbing at a downtown Detroit bar/grill left a man hospitalized.

Detroit Police said the man was involved in a “physical altercation” inside the bar and was “cut.” It happened on Saturday, May 17, around 1:15 a.m. inside a bar/grill in the area of St. Antoine and Lafayette.

Police did not release the name of the bar/grill.

According to investigators, the victim was taken to the hospital via private transportation where he’s in serious condition.

No further details were released about the circumstances leading up to the altercation.

“This is currently an active investigation,” police said.
