Sterling Heights police release photo of car connected to September murder; $2,500 reward

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- Just over three months since a fatal shooting occurred at a Macomb County apartment complex police announced Thursday they have a new lead in the case.

Sterling Heights police released a photo of a car believed to be connected to the unsolved murder of 31-year-old Brandon Sander-Perry.

Sander-Perry was found lying on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds at the Sterling Landings Apartments near 15 Mile and Van Dyke Avenue.

CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

On September 1, Sterling Heights police were called around 1:30 a.m. to the apartment on reports of possible shots fired.

At the time, authorities believed the attack was targeted.
