LIVONIA (WWJ) A teen was struck by a vehicle outside Stevenson High School in Livonia.

In a letter to families; Principal Pete Mazzoni said the teen, who is a student of Stevenson High, was crossing at the traffic light at Six Mile Rd. near Farmington earlier Friday morning (11/1) when it happened.

Livonia Police and Emergency Medical Services came to the scene.

Mazzoni said the student is undergoing treatment and is "expected to be okay." The student's exact condition has not been released.

"We are continuing our morning here at Stevenson," Mazzoni wrote. "Please join us in wishing the student well."

He reminded parents and guardians that drop off is not allowed in the bus loop prior to 7:15 a.m. so the buses have unrestricted access, and as a "safety measure" for students crossing at the traffic light.
