SPRINGPORT TWP (WWJ) -- Following a brutal stabbing that left the victim hospitalized, Michigan State Police have taken the alleged attacker into custody.
Troopers from the MSP Jackson Post were called out to Eaton Rapids Medical Center on Monday, January 30, around 2:30 a.m.
A domestic incident had escalated, leading to a 19-year-old victim being stabbed several times.
The victim was brought to the medical center by a relative and later transferred to Sparrow Hospital in stable condition.
At 12:20 p.m. Monday, MSP put out an update on the case.
A 20-year-old suspect was arrested and is believed to be the assailant. Authorities have declined to share the defendant's name until after the arraignment.
