DETROIT (WWJ) - One man is reportedly dead after a suspect opened fired at a child's birthday celebration on Detroit's west side Friday evening.
As reported by WDIV, police said the incident occurred at a park near Fullerton and Indiana avenues.
According to officials, two men got heated during a verbal argument that quickly escalated into violence as one man produced a gun and shot the other.
The victim died of his injures, police told WDIV.
Police said they are searching for the suspect after he fled the scene -- WWJ is working on getting more details regarding the case.
