BENTON TWP. (WWJ) -- The Michigan State Police First District is showing off a collection of booze bottles found by a trooper who arrested an alleged drunken driver.

MSP released a photo of the vodka bottles — some empty, and some open and partially full — lined up alongside a flask and a bottle of Powerade on the hood of an MSP patrol car, sharing a few details about the Tuesday morning traffic stop.

At 6:45 a.m., police said a trooper with the MSP Lansing Post pulled over a woman for improper lane use on Hartel Rd at I-69, in Eaton County's Benton Township.

Following further investigation, the driver — identified as a 37-year old Lansing woman — was arrested on suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated - High BAC.

MSP said the pictured items were discovered when the trooper then searched the woman's vehicle.

Under Michigan's Super Drunk Laws, drivers with a BAC more than twice the state's legal limit of .08% face stiffer penalties, including a possible jail term of up to 180 days if convicted.

The driver's name was not immediately released, with expected charges pending.
