DETROIT (WWJ) — The search is on for a pair of men involved in a firebomb at a home on Detroit's west side.
The arson happened around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12 at a home on Coyle Street, near Tireman Avenue and Greenfield Road.
Surveillance video from the home, released by Detroit police on Thursday, shows two male suspects walking onto the porch. One of the suspects lights a molotov cocktail and throws it at the home.
Both suspects then ran from the scene.
Detroit police officials say two people were inside the house at the time of the incident, but were uninjured. The fire extinguished on its own, according to police.
Authorities have not released a possible motive in the case.
Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or knows something about the arson is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Arson Unit at 313-596-2940.
