DETROIT (WWJ) — The search is on for a group of suspects who allegedly broke into and ransacked a Detroit cell phone store last month.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at a store on Harper Avenue near Gratiot, Detroit police officials said Thursday.
The suspects stole several cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash. Police did not name the store that was broken into, but Google Maps listings show Metro by T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless and Wireless PCS stores all in the same area.
Detroit police released photos of four suspects in hopes the public can help identify them.
One suspect was seen wearing all black clothes with white gloves and armed with a pry bar.
Another suspect is described as a male with a medium build, medium locs, wearing a blue and black jacket with dark pants and white shoes.
The third suspect is described as having a medium build and wearing a dark blue hoodie, black sweatpants and black shoes. The fourth suspect is described as having a heavy build, medium locs and wearing dark clothes.
Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or knows something about the break-in to call the Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct at 313-596-5740.
