(WWJ) -- Several metro Detroit schools are dealing with an immense increase in school threats following the Nov. 30 mass shooting at Oxford High School and since there isn't a way to be absolutely certain the threats are credible, schools decide to close out of an abundance of caution.
But a company called Navigate 360 is helping school districts with identifying if the threats are real or a hoax with the help of technology.
Their software has the capability to monitor digital conversations students are having to provide schools with the ability to keep harmful content out of the hands of the students.
Navigate 360 can also alert officials about concerning behavior related to bullying, suicide, substance abuse, acts of violence and more.
When this technology is combined with training and other resources it can help restrict actions with potential deadly consequences.
