(WWJ) - An update from the family of a Macomb County teen said she was found Thursday evening after she went missing three days ago.

The circumstances surrounding how Abigail Jett, 15, was found remain unclear, but family members had said earlier that she went missing after she went to bed at around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday night at her home near 21 Mile Rd. and Card Rd. in Macomb Township.

She was found late Thursday evening.

The teen's father went into her room to get her up for school at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, she wasn't there. The family then searched the house and found that Jett was gone.

Police said the home was secure and there were no signs of a break-in.

Jett doesn't have a car, but police say she could've been picked up at a different location.

She did have a cell phone at the time of her disappearance, but it was either off or without battery power.

Officials had said it does not appear that Jett planned to leave for an extended amount of time, as most of her belongings were left at home, including her wallet and ID.

"After several interviews of those close with Abigail, it is learned that she has no medical issues and is in good health overall," the sheriff office noted, adding that the teen is typically very active on social media, but had not posted anything since before she disappeared.

Family members said in an updated post on social media that she had been located and thanked those were reached out or prayed for Jett's safe return.
