WARREN (WWJ) – A teenage girl is in critical condition after an argument led to a crash on I-696 in Warren Monday afternoon.
The crash, which happened around 12:30 p.m. left the westbound lanes of the freeway shut down from Groesbeck to Hoover for several hours.
Warren police officials told WWJ Newsradio 950 it started out as an argument between two teenage girls inside a Ford Focus.
A 17-year-old jumped out of the moving vehicle on the freeway. While trying to avoid the girl on the freeway, a semi truck hit the Ford and then the median.
