PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Detectives with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office are asking for help from the public to track down a runaway teen.
Ka'Marion Deton Johnson of Pontiac was being transported to a scheduled appointment on Oakland Ave. in Pontiac when he jumped out of the vehicle and ran away from his caregiver on Tuesday.
Sheriff's officials said the 14-year-old is a court-ordered resident of Camp Oakland, a program for at-risk youth in Oxford Township.
Sheriff's deputies responded with a K-9 team to search for Johnson, but they didn't find him.
Johnson is 5'7'' tall and weighs around 150 lbs. It is unknown what clothing he was wearing at the time he ran off.
The sheriff's office noted that the teen does have a history of running away, and that he is believed to be in the Pontiac area.
Anyone who has seen Johnson, or who knows where he may be, is asked to call the OCSO at 248-858-4950. To remain 100% anonymous, tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
