DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police continue to search for a suspect after a stabbing during a Detroit high school football game.
The incident happened happened just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, outside Detroit's Southeastern High School on Fairview Street.
Detroit police said two groups of teens got into an argument, with just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter of the football game between Detroit Southeastern High School and Detroit King, and one of the boys was stabbed.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and there is no information about his condition at this time. The victim was a teenager, but was not a Detroit public schools student, according to a statement by the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) to the Detroit Free Press.
Reports said the teen was stabbed in the neck, but WWJ Newsradio 950 was not immediately able to confirm that detail.
Players on both teams, fans, and parents had to wait for the all clear from security before exiting the field.
Police were still looking for a suspect on Friday, but there is no description at this time.
