DETROIT (WWJ) - If you'd like an "inside job" helping fellow football fans in the NFL Draft Experience coming to downtown Detroit in April, officials want to hire you.

Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to descend upon Campus Martius and Hart Plaza, which will serve as the backdrop for the 2024 NFL Draft -- easily one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year.

The three-day event, which kicks off April 25-27, 2024, will feature the league's NFL Draft Experience, a free interactive football theme park where fans will get the opportunity to interact with exhibits, get in on autograph sessions and snap a photo with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

But to make this event a success, officials with Visit Detroit, the Detroit Sports Commission and the NFL say they're looking for people to sign up for a number of temporary paid "Teammate" positions.

"Teammates help promote a fun and inclusive environment of fan engagement by fulfilling a variety of team roles throughout the NFL Draft footprint," event organizers added.

Teammates need to be 18 years or older, and register for at least two shifts. Positions could possibly require a teammate to stand for long periods of time, up to six hours, and walk more than a mile across all NFL Draft experiences.
