OXFORD (WWJ) A suspect is in custody in a Christmas Eve triple shooting in Oxford.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said their Communications Center was notified of a major incident on Ray Road, between Oxford and Lapeer roads, around 6:32 p.m.

Deputies arrived and found three people who were injured by gunshots. All were hospitalized. No information was released about their identities or conditions.

Deputies arrested a suspect and recovered a gun, the sheriff’s office said.

They are asking the public to avoid the area while they process the scene, about two miles east of Oxford High School.

“The area is an active crime scene,” the sheriff’s office said in their statement. “It is believed there is no further danger to the public.”
