DETROIT (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police troopers are asking for tips from anyone who witnesses a rollover crash and fuel spill that shut down a stretch of I-75 in Detroit, Tuesday night.

MSP troopers spent more than five hours, into Wednesday morning, clean up a diesel spill when a semi truck rolled over just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, along northbound I-75 near Schaefer.

The semi rolled over, leaving the cab hanging over the freeway. The crash impacted the freeway and Fort Street entrance ramp due to diesel fuel and debris on the roadway.

The highway was closed all night, but has since reopened.

No injuries were reported.

MSP said investigators believe the driver was going too fast for conditions and crashed. "Please drive for the conditions, slow down," police said.

As the investigation continues into what led to the crash, MSP could use some help from the public.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact the MSP at 734-287-5000..
