
WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) -- Tips are wanted as investigators work to identify a man whose body was pulled from Pine Lake in West Bloomfield Township Tuesday night.
Authorities put out an alert to residents to avoid the area of Pine Lake Road and Orchard Lake Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. on July 29, with investigators on the scene.
In an update Wednesday, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said its Search and Rescue Team was called to the scene after the body was spotted floating in the water, near the 3200 block of Pine Lake Rd., near Orchard Lake Rd.
Police from West Bloomfield Township were already there, confirmed the man was dead, and requested assistance from the sheriff’s office.
He is described as a Black male, between 20 and 30 years old, around 6 feet tall and weighing 140 lbs. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black jogging pants and size 10 black Adidas athletic shoes.
He didn't have any identification on him, officials said, and there are no reports of missing people in the area matching his description.
It's still unclear how he died. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
