Detroit police seek tips in search for person-of-interest in 2022 deadly shooting — Can you help?

Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that killed one man inside a home in Detroit nearly two months ago -- and now need the public's help in finding someone wanted for questioning in the case.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police have put out a fresh call for tips about an unsolved murder inside a Detroit home, nearly two years ago.

Investigators are asking for tips to identify a person wanted for questioning in the case.

According to the Detroit Police Department, detectives are still looking for a "person-of-interest" who may have information about the shooting death of a 32-year-old man back on Dec. 10, 2022.

Police said the victim was shot inside a home in the 18300 block of Ashton at around 4:45 p.m. The man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, but later died of his injuries.

The person-of-interest was in the area at the time of the shooting, police stated, and could possibly know something about the incident.

Anyone who recognizes the person in the photos, or if anyone knows any information about the crime, has been asked to contact the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260.
