(WWJ) – A Traverse City woman is behind bars after Michigan State Police caught her with an open beer and over 30 baggies of suspected meth in her car outside a strip club.
Troopers from the Houghton Lake Post were called to the Crossroads Showgirls Nightclub in Rapid City -- about 20 miles east of Traverse City in Kalkaska County -- around 2:30 a.m. for a report of a "suspicious vehicle."
When troopers showed up they found the 31-year-old woman in the car. While talking to her they noticed an open bottle of beer in the center console.
When troopers searched the car they found 34 individually packaged baggies containing suspected crystal meth. The baggies weighed a total of about 43 grams, officials said.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Kalkaska County Jail.
Authorities have not released her name, pending arraignment on charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and having open intoxicants.
