TROY (WWJ) -- A Macomb County man accused of shooting his coworker at a local hospital has been ordered to stand trial.

A preliminary exam was held Tuesday for 21-year-old Robert Paljusevic.

He's accused of shooting his friend outside Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, forcing it into lockdown and causing an active shooter response in March.

Federal, local, and state law enforcement agencies responded to search the hospital, police said.

The 25-year-old victim, who worked at Corewell with Paljusevic, was shot twice in the arm.

Police said the shooting happened after Paljusevic wasn't invited a private funeral for the victim's father.

Paljusevic is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder.

He remains held in the Oakland County Jail without bond.
