(WWJ) Detroit Police are trying to track down three suspects wanted for stealing catalytic converters from a dozen buses.

Police say the trio stole the catalytic converters from at least 12 transportation buses that were parked in a fenced parking lot on McDougall near Jefferson on January 4.

These are not DDOT buses.

Investigators believe the suspects fled the location in a 2005-2007 dark red Buick Rainier with tinted windows, front-end damage, and a missing front grill.

Two of the men were described as Black, and dressed in all dark clothing. The driver, including gender, is unknown at this time. There are no photographs of the suspects.

If you have any information on the crime, call Detroit Police Department’s Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit at (313) 596-5740 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
