(WWJ) - The Golden Grizzlies' win Thursday night in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament has started a debate that is harder to settle than one would expect.

The Detroit Free Press Tweeted a photo of OU basketball player Jack Gohlke with the phrase "Believe! Oakland stuns Kentucky in NCAA tournament" after the team beat Kentucky Thursday night. In the Tweet, the university is said to be Rochester, Michigan.

That's when the responses began pouring in.

Rochester Hills retweeted the post saying the school is located there. The Auburn Hills Police Department also threw their hat in the ring, including a photo of the city's sign saying it's the home of Oakland University.

Local businesses and residents also chimed in to help solidify the argument for their city.

It's usually easy to say where a university is. The University of Michigan is in Ann Arbor, Wayne State is in Detroit and Michigan State is in East Lansing. So where is rightful home of Oakland University?

A search on Google shows the address is on Meadow Brook Road in Rochester. A check of the school's Wikipedia page shows that it's in both Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills, however.

The Free Press published an article Thursday identifying both Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills as home to the Golden Grizzlies, along with a Tweet apologizing for the misidentification.

It seems the only thing everyone can agree on is that Oakland, California is out as a possible location for the university, despite the confusing name.

The Golden Grizzlies take on NC State on Saturday at 7:10 p.m.
