Two dead after car crashes into Detroit warehouse

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are investigating a crash into a warehouse that left two people dead Sunday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 10:15 a.m. in the 6000 block of Rosa Parks Boulevard, near McGraw Avenue.

Officers and emergency responders found two people dead inside the vehicle upon arrival. The driver, who survived but also injured, was taken to a hospital in police custody.

Authorities say speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. Investigators continue to work to determine what caused crash. No additional details about the victims or the driver have been released.
