DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a suspect in a double shooting at a house party on the city's west side.

Police said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Wisconsin Avenue-- near Joy and Wyoming-- on Saturday, May 24 around 11:30 p.m.

"Officers responded to the location and observed a male in his 20's with a gunshot wound to his ankle," Deputy Chief Jacqueline Pritchett said. "He was conveyed by medics to the local hospital. While at the scene, officers learned that there was another male in his 20's conveyed to the same hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder."

The victims' conditions were not released.

Prtichett said an argument led to the gunfire, but did not give further details. No additional information was released about the suspect.

"We're asking citizens who've seen anything on the street, please say something," Pritchett said.

Anyone with information on the shooting should call Detroit Police, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SpeakUp or DetroitRewardsTV.
