WARREN (WWJ) Two men were killed in a double shooting in Warren.
Warren Police said they were dispatched to a home on Michael near Warren—in the area of 9 Mile and Ryan— on Friday, December 27th around 9:30 p.m. for a shooting. Officers found two victims at the scene with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was pronounced dead at the hospital.
“The investigation indicates that the victims met with a group of known individuals whom they had previous contacts,” Warren Police said in a press release.
The suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle, according to police.
The victims’ names and ages were not released.
“Warren Police Department is currently investigating this incident and does not believe there is a threat to the community at this time,” police said.
They called the investigation “open” and “very active” as detectives continue to process the scene and gather evidence. More information will be released at a later date after it becomes available, they said.
