A driver is in custody this morning in connection with a deadly crash involving two motorcyclists in Detroit.
Police say two women were riding separate motorcycles on Schaefer near Fenkell around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday when they were rear-ended by a Chevy Impala. They were both stopped and waiting to make a left turn when the driver allegedly slammed into them.
A 53-year-old woman was killed and a 46-year-old woman was critically injured. A 25-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Police haven't said if alcohol or speed are factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
