
GROSSE POINTE FARMS (WWJ) A group of suspects stole a car from the parking lot of the Country Club of Detroit in Grosse Pointe Farms and attempted several more break-ins.
Grosse Pointe Department of Public Safety said three people in a red Honda Civic (model 2006-2011) pulled into the main parking lot of the country club, in the area of Kercheval and Moross, on Friday January 3rd around 1 p.m.
The suspects stole one vehicle, entered three, and attempted to break into three others; police said.
The stolen vehicle was found hours later, abandoned near 8 Mile and Schoenherr. Its make and model were not released.
Police are reminding you to lock your vehicles, hide valuable items and take your keys with you when you go inside the venue— anywhere, whether at a public place or at home.
