LAKE ORION (WWJ) -- There’s a chance for metro Detroiters to take a prehistoric stroll with the dinosaurs, and it’s happening for one night only!

Canterbury Village in Lake Orion is holding a special “Dinos After Dark” experience on Friday, May 28.

The event allows attendees to walk along and stand next to some life-size dinosaurs, which stand over 25 feet tall and span over 60 feet long.

The animatronic dinosaurs, which reflect the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods, will be illuminated to show off their massive size with lights and lasers, along with other added sights and sounds to make people feel as though they’ve been transformed into the Mesozoic Era.

“Dinosaurs may become more active and hungrier at night,” the website says, “especially after working a long day at the Dino Stroll, so you have been warned!”

Two sessions are being offered on Friday at 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

Limited tickets at $19.99 are available, so Dino-enthusiasts will have to act fast! Ticket info and other details are available here.
